Chuutatsu Shibai met with the spirits of the ancient kingdom during the series and conspired with them to take over all of the fighters of the current era. She also met Moutoku Sousou and gained his trust to the point that she was able to replace Bunwa Kaku as Kyosho's strategist.
Appearance[]
Chuutatsu has long, shoulder-length pink hair and pale gray eyes. She is usually seen wearing a gray suit.
Personality[]
Chuutatsu initially appears caring, taking in Teni and raising her as her own, but this is revealed to be a ruse, as she intends to use Teni solely for her own gain.
She is also very proud of her school and easily provoked, as shown when she becomes enraged by Koumei Shokatsuryou's taunts about Sousou and the poor state of his army.
Story (Anime)[]
Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny[]
Chuutatsu is first seen speaking with Houkou Kakuka, who tells her that the Dragon Jade is real and that their situation is dire because it is in the possession of another school.
Chuutatsu is next seen comforting Teni and ordering her to retrieve the Dragon Jade from Nanyo Academy's Shimei Ryomou.
Later, Chuutatsu looks out from her limousine at the havoc Teni has caused during her fight with Ryomou, showing clear disappointment and indifference toward Teni's condition. She simply tells the driver to leave.
Chuutatsu is then confronted by an enraged Genjou Kakouton, who believes she ordered Myousai Kakouen to attack Nanyo. She denies this and then, citing an imperial order, instructs Kakouton to take all of Kyosho's fighters and capture Unchou Kan-u. Kakouton questions whether the order is genuine, but his doubts fade when Sousou confirms it.
Chuukou Kyocho and Chuutatsu are later seen together in a church, where Chuutatsu tells Chuukou that she will be the one to watch over Sousou from now on, as he needs a guardian more than ever.
Chuutatsu later greets Hakufu, who has snuck onto Kyosho's grounds, and introduces her opponent, Kan-u, before watching their battle. After Hakufu is defeated by Sousou, Chuutatsu declares that Nanyo will now fall, as it has no leader left to guide and protect it, and she launches an all-out attack on Nanyo without Sousou's permission.
While sitting in the church, Chuutatsu converses with the spirits of fighters from the Three Kingdoms era, revealing her true plan: she intends for those spirits to possess the bodies of all modern fighters, something that the Dragon Jade would make possible.
A letter is then sent to Kyosho and received by Chuutatsu, stating that the Seito–Nanyo alliance challenges Kyosho to a final battle to decide who will claim the Dragon Jade. Chuutatsu accepts the challenge and gathers all of Kyosho's best fighters.
Chuutatsu and Kyosho's fighters arrive at the site of the Battle of Red Cliffs, and after an exchange of words between Koumei and Chuutatsu, she begins the battle by ordering Kakouen to seize the Dragon Jade.
After all of her fighters are defeated, Chuutatsu drives her car straight into the tower where Gentoku Ryuubi and Koumei are standing. Using the power bestowed upon her by Sousou, she walks up to Gentoku and demands the Dragon Jade, then attempts to take it by force, but is stopped when Kan-u cuts her down, seemingly defeating her once and for all. Unable to move, Chuutatsu still refuses to give up and uses the marks on her arm to summon Sousou. What happens to her afterward remains unclear.
